About Emma

Emma Waiwai, OL, is a Communication Engineer by profession. She is currently the Vice President of the Papua New Guinea Olympic Committee (PNGOC) and heads the Gender Equity Commission, a sub-committee of PNGOC. She also sits on the Equity Commission Oceania, a Commission of the Oceania National Olympic Committees (ONOC). In 2015, Emma was the Chairperson of the 2015 Pacific Games, one that has been hailed as the best games ever and the most successful to date. Emma’s contribution to the success of these Games was recognised by the National Government of Papua New Guinea and she received a national medal of recognition, the Order of Logohu (OL).
